About the program

LittleSteps4Health is a free program that aims to support children and families in making healthier choices around food and exercise. Participants will receive 1 worksheet/module per week with tips and tricks to educate families on healthy lifestyle habits.

Weekly Modules

Week 1: What's in a Drink?

Learn about how much sugar is in your favorite drinks, how to read nutrition labels, and how to make better drink choices!

Week 2: Let's Move a Little More

There are so many different ways of getting in movement throughout the day. Moving more helps us feel better, stay healthy, and be happier! Take a look at our Rainy Day and Shinny Day Activities page for an array of ideas you can do with the whole family!

Week 3: Are you really hungry?

Sometimes, we eat when we are bored or sad. In this module, you will learn the ABC's of intuitive eating and how to tell if you are truly hungry or full

Week 4: Happy Meals

In this module, we discuss serving sizes/portion sizes and what makes a balanced meal. Try out some of our tips on how to include all five food groups during mealtimes.

Week 5: Smart Snacking

This module discusses intuitive eating when it comes to snacking. Learn how to use the food groups to make a healthy snack.

Week 6: Veggie Tales

Learn the importance of eating veggies and the different ways of cooking them. Become a food scientist and try a new veggie to see whether or not your family likes it.
