On August 27, 2021, the presidents of Old Dominion University, Norfolk State University and Eastern Virginia Medical School committed to establishing a new joint School of Public Health. This unique collaboration aims to advance health equity through transformative education, scholarship, service, practice experiences and community partnerships. Currently, faculty, staff and students across the three institutions are working together with local partners to build this initiative and apply for accreditation from the Council of Education for Public Health.
