Batten College of Engineering & Technology

Welcome to the Batten College of Engineering & Technology!
The college has 2,400 undergraduate students and 800 graduate students and offers eight undergraduate majors, 19 minors and over 30 graduate programs at the master's and doctoral levels across six departments. Our student body is truly diverse and includes a 27% minority population. Over 44% of our freshmen are first-generation students. We also boast a 12% military/veteran student population in the Batten College of Engineering and Technology (BCET), the highest in Virginia.
We encourage big ideas and creative thinking as we help students discover new ways to solve real-world problems in a wide range of fields.
