Administrative units are non-degree granting offices that exist across ODU's campus. Administrative offices ensure the success of students, faculty, staff, and the University as a whole, through pursuing improvement opportunities informed by institutional priorities. Evidence of the pursuit of improvement is documented and then regularly reviewed using a rubric to help the unit best communicate and navigate improvement efforts. A template is provided to help guide the documentation effort. Click the button to access the template.
The following framework organizes and outlines the process of administrative assessment:
Establish clear, justifiable, and measurable strategies intended to yield improvement
Systematically gather, analyze, and interpret evidence to determine how well the strategy met the expectations for improvement
Use the resulting information to develop new or enhance the existing strategy for further improvement
Administrative assessment reports should be submitted through Weave by September 30th.
