
Brianna Elum
As the Director of the Women and Gender Equity Center, Elum provides strategic direction and support for the S.A.F.E Initiatives, Social Justice &Equity Initiatives, LGBTQIA+ Initiatives, and the Womanhood Initiative.

Ericka Harrison-Bey, M.S.Ed.
Ericka leads educational programming for the Sexual Assault & Abuse Free Environment (S.A.F.E.) Initiatives that empowers all Monarchs to learn about interpersonal violence (IPV) through prevention and awareness campaigns and events. As the ODU Victim Advocate, they also support students affected by IPV by providing emotional support, connecting them to resources on campus or in the community, and making referrals to support services as needed.

Andrew Garber
As Coordinator for LGBTQIA+ Initiatives at WGEC, Andrew executes programming and events centering the lived experiences and cultures of LGBTQIA+ communities. In this role, Andrew seeks to promote a safe and affirming environment whereby LGBTQIA+ Monarchs can access Queer Joy, achieve and sustain well-being, and thrive.

Karis Thomas
A Ph.D. student and the S.A.F.E. Graduate Assistant, Karis helps with coordinating signature programs and services for the S.A.F.E. Initiatives, such as the M-POWER Peer Education Network and the Red Flag Campaign.
