The Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) pain and palliative care team provides acute and chronic pain management, complex symptom management, and supportive palliative care for patients from birth to 21 years of age, with new patients accepted up to age 18. The program emphasizes a child- and family-centered approach, prioritizing comfort, quality of life, and shared decision-making across the continuum of illness.
