The curriculum of the Ph.D. Program in Community College Leadership is based on the Competencies for Community College Leaders of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). Each core course is "team taught" with an ODU faculty member and a "Guest Scholar" who is a recognized community college leader. The Guest Scholar helps to ensure that course content is practical and relevant for emerging senior leaders at community and technical colleges. Most courses also utilize guest speakers from individual community/technical colleges, state system offices, professional associations, and state government.
