  • provide networking possibilities and potential internships
  • provide and opportunity to meet native speakers from around the world visiting the Hampton Roads community
  • give current students a chance to practice their language skills with native speakers

Language in Motion

ELC Student Success Center

The Visiting Alumni Lecture Series (VALS) 2015 is expanding its scope by creating the innovative "Language in Motion - ODU" outreach program that promotes both current ODU study-abroad student "returnees" and ODU Alumni professionals teaching world languages in the Hampton Roads area. Language in Motion (LiM) is a cooperative effort to join experienced Alumni teachers with current ODU students in the elementary, middle school, high school and community college classrooms in order to promote world languages and cultures.
