The Center for Bioelectronics develops and mentors future researchers in the bio-community by supporting a variety of educational programs.
G-RISE Scholars Program
The G-RISE at ODU training program is designed to increase diversity among students pursuing Ph.D. degrees in the biomedical research related disciplines at ODU that enter the biomedical research workforce. The G-RISE scholarship program awards qualified students based on academic merit. A 6-week summer doctoral bridge program, internships at biotechnology companies and government national laboratories, academic and social workshops are some of the activities that leads to an exceptional experience.

The Center for Bioelectronics Graduate Research Scholars program is a competitive scholarship program that serves to develop future leaders in bioelectrical science, bioscience and bioengineering by providing a comprehensive research experience for the duration of the doctorate program. ApplySTEM Summer Institute, June 23 - June 28, 2024
The Center for Bioelectronics STEM Summer Institute Program is a one-week academic program for rising 6th - 11th graders and rising 12th graders who express a desire to pursue a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
The program provides students with information and research experience in various fields of bioenergy, bioelectrical science, materials engineering, and medicine in order to acquaint students with the requirements for pursuing a career in STEM. Middle school students participate in engineering related classroom projects, while high school students blend materials engineering and medical research to solve real world problems.
