PPCM Frequently Asked Questions

The only prerequisite we require is a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. You will not need to take a graduate entrance exam like the GRE for consideration for admission.

Currently, the courses are all available through online sessions. However, when available, we will offer in-classroom live sessions.

Classes are offered in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters — based on when you sign up, we'll be able to get you started and learning soon!

Our professors are very accomplished and have extensive professional networks, and we have had great success in connecting students with internship programs and employment opportunities. We also work to get our students entrance into conferences and functions for professional organizations, which are fantastic places to network and make valuable connections.

In addition, our graduated students are always letting us know of new opportunities and positions on the market. Procurement is a growing field and opportunities are expected to open up in the next few years, so this is an excellent time to take the plunge!

You will pay per credit hour for your courses. Please refer to Current Tuition Rates for the current per-credit cost.

An overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above in all courses specified as a requirement for the certificate is required for the award of a graduate certificate. See the University Requirements for Graduate Degrees & Certificates.

Absolutely! The GCPPCM courses count as electives towards both an MPA and an MBA. By completing the certificate, you'll be almost halfway done with an MPA or MBA program before you even start! (See below for university course transfer policy.)

  • All 15 credits may be transferred if enrolled in the MPA program before completing the 5th course for the Certificate. (Enrolled = taking courses during that semester as an accepted MPA student and taking the 5th course during that semester or thereafter.)
  • 12 credits may be transferred if enrolled in the MPA program after completing the 5th course for the Certificate.
  • Only courses with a grade of "B" or higher may be transferred.
