Monarchs Give Back

Monarchs Give Back Community Service Project is a campus-wide food collection to benefit Hampton Roads children experiencing food insecurity. This year's drive launches an annual effort highlighting the University's commitment to partner with the Hampton Roads community.

Goal:

This year, our goal is to collect 25,000 non-perishable items.

Food Donation Events:

  • Peanut Butter for Parking 9/19 to 9/21 – Peanut Butter donations to pay for eligible parking citations 1oz = $1
  • Free admission with canned items to the following ODU Athletic events:
  • 9/19: Volleyball vs. Liberty @ 5pm
  • 9/19: Men’s Soccer vs VCU @ 7pm
  • 9/21: Women’s soccer vs Louisiana @ 7pm
  • 9/22: Field Hockey vs Temple @ 2pm

Food Drop Off:

Bring donated items to the Monarch Way entrance of Chartway Arena on Thursday, September 21, 9 am – 5 pm or Friday, September 22, 7 am – 1 pm.  We will have staff on site to help unload your vehicle.

Celebration:

Friday, September 22, at 3 pm., all are welcome to gather at the Mitchum Basketball Performance Center. Please register for the Celebration Event at Monarchs Give Back Sign-up. Volunteers are asked to arrive by 2:30 pm and will receive a Monarchs Give Back t-shirt while supplies last.
