Live Class Support
The Online Operations team handles the technology to deliver your live synchronous course while you concentrate on instruction.
For assistance during a live class, message the technician connected to your class meeting or call 757-683-3173. For assistance with changes to upcoming live classes, such as providing access to a guest speaker, please email dloperations@odu.edu.
Canvas Support
The Instructure Community provides a variety of useful resources including step-by-step instructor guides and instructor videos.
If you are unable to locate a resource regarding your question on the Instructure Community site, you can reach out to Canvas directly from inside the application.
- Login to Canvas at ODU.
- Connect to chat or the Canvas hotline.
- Or, select Help from the Global Navigation Pane on the left.

During the course development process with Digital Innovation, our staff will also assist and guide faculty developers on the use of instructional technology tools.
