OES Distinguished Speaker, David Malakoff

David Malakoff is the International News Editor at Science in Washington, D.C. A native Washingtonian, he has spent more than four decades reporting on research discoveries in a wide range of fields, how scientists influence government policy, and how government policy shapes science. His work as an editor and reporter has won some of science journalism’s major prizes. He has also worked as a senior editor and correspondent on NPR's Science Desk and as a freelancer for numerous outlets.
