Graduate Nursing Awards

Several awards are given to outstanding graduate students each year at convocation. The awards and criteria for each are as follows:

This is a faculty award for the graduate student with outstanding achievement based on end of program behaviors and university, professional, and/or community service. The following three areas are evaluated:

  • Academic achievement-cumulative (QPA) of 3.75 or higher
  • Outstanding performance in advanced nursing role.
  • Involvement in university, professional, and community service.

Awarded to the Nurse Executive DNP student that has served as a visionary, leader, and change agent within healthcare and healthcare systems.

Awarded to the APN DNP student that has served as a visionary, leader, and change agent Advanced Nursing Practice.

Awarded to the DNP student that has excelled in conducting and disseminating evidence-based research.

Awarded to the DNP student that has developed and implemented programs to improve the health and well-being of patients and populations.
