In honor of Native American Heritage Month, we will be screening the documentary film, "First Language: The Race to Save Cherokee." The 60-minute documentary follows the efforts by members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee to promote and teach their language. Film introduction by Kole Matheson, member of the Cherokee Nation.
