We are pleased to share information about the newly formed Monarch Staff Senate (MSS) and upcoming opportunities to learn more and get involved.
The MSS is a representative body that supports and advocates for Classified and Hourly (Wage) employees across Old Dominion University. The MSS will serve as a bridge between staff and University leadership, promote shared governance, and elevate staff voices in conversations that help shape policies, workplace culture, and professional development opportunities.
Special Election – Spring 2026
A special election for officers for the MSS will take place in Spring 2026. Additional details regarding nominations and voting will be shared soon.

- Provide an overview of the MSS’s purpose
- Outline ways to participate
- Offer time for questions and discussion
