Introduction to HPC (Zoom Hands-on Workshop)

- Contents: Basic introduction to the ODU HPC environment, including connecting to the cluster, using the job scheduler, using software, transferring files, and running parallel jobs.
- Format: Virtual (Zoom)
This workshop is geared toward those who are new to HPC, and those who desire a refresher of our HPC environment. Short tutorials alternate with hands-on practical exercises, and participants are encouraged both to help one another, and apply what they have learned to their own research problems during and between sessions.
This is a hands-on workshop. Participants should be prepared to perform the hands-on activities and exercises on their own computers (Mac, Windows or Linux with an up-to-date browser). We do not recommend tablets, since we have not thoroughly tested our web-based HPC interface with these devices.
