ODU is implementing Coursedog to modernize academic scheduling, reduce manual and spreadsheet-based processes, improve visibility into course demand, and provide more efficient scheduling workflows that better support students and the university. 

No. Banner remains ODU’s system of record. Coursedog will integrate directly with Banner through secure API’s and Ellucian Ethos services.

Yes. As part of the implementation, scheduling processes will be standardized and modernized to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.

Yes. The Registrar’s Office will provide end user training to ensure users are prepared to perform scheduling activities in Coursedog. Training is planned to begin August 2026.
