Ms. Lucy Wittkower, an EPPE Ph.D. student, is the PI on the Future Informational Professionals Internship for Undergraduate Students grant. Funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) at over $200,000, this two-year grant provides paid internship opportunities to undergraduates from minoritized populations who are interested in careers in library and information studies. Lucy is the head of Teaching and Learning Initiatives at the ODU Libraries. With Co-PIs, Dr. Sue Kimmel and fellow ODU librarian, Leanne Hillery, they have already enrolled over 10 students in the grant initiative and are excited about the DEI focused effort to diversify the profession.
