The University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA) has named ELS doctoral student Melanie Daniel as a prestigious 2022-2024 Jackson Scholar. The Jackson Scholar Network is a program for graduate students of color to engage in formal networking and professional development to enhance their pathway to professions in educational leadership. She is being mentored by her advisor, Dr. Jay Scribner and now has an external mentor as well: Dr. Jennie Weiner, from the University of Connecticut. In addition, she will be attending the UCEA Annual Convention in Seattle, WA and participating in the Graduate Student Summit.
