The faculty of the Community College Leadership Program are pleased to announce that CCL doctoral student Gerome Bell (Cohort 19) is the first recipient of a new CCL Program Scholarship. Bell, of Medford, New York, is a second-year doctoral student and is an Assistant Professor of Counseling at Suffolk County Community College (NY).
The Scholarship, provided by an anonymous donor, is awarded annually to a second-year doctoral student who has good academic standing (a GPA of 3.80 of higher) and has demonstrated strong potential as a senior leader at a community college. Preference is given to students who meet all criteria and are from groups traditionally under-served by higher education.
