Dear Colleagues:
After months of hard work, I am delighted to officially announce the website enhancement to the Darden College of Education. You may find it online at www.odu.edu/education.
As part of the enhancement project, a re-designed homepage, academics programs page and additional pages have been developed that provide effective marketing, communication and storytelling to prospective students, and provide users an easier way to learn about the Darden College of Education.
The homepage features a larger interactive image and messaging to drive students to explore academic programs. In addition, there are now three entry points to the academic programs from the main Darden College of Education homepage.
The enhanced website is also interactive and provides useful information about our programs and our new building. One of the great features is that you may now request to reserve the Multipurpose Auditorium and Conference Room 3303 by completing and submitting an online room request form. To access the online form, you will be asked to provide your MIDAS username and password. The form, which is available both online and in print format, may also be found on the About Our New Building webpage.
Amongst the new features, the site contains integrated social media buttons to the Darden College of Education official social media channels - Facebook, Twitter and Flickr - to foster improved communication with faculty, staff, alumni, prospective students and key stakeholders. The Flickr page is filled with vibrant photos of events over the past several months, including our Faculty Authors Reception, Admitted Students' Day and 2017 Darden Fellows Awards Luncheon. If you are not already following our social media channels, I encourage you to do so learn more about the great work happening with the Darden College of Education.
Another exciting feature is the newly enhanced directory pages for each of our six departments. The departmental directory pages highlight faculty members and their contact information with hyperlinks to public-facing web profiles displaying faculty biographic information, academic interests and activities.
I do hope you find the newly enhanced website fresh and modern and the online room request form readily available and user friendly.
Amazing and exciting things continue to happen at the Darden College of Education! Thanks to each of you for all your hard work this spring semester.
Warmest regards,
Dr. Jane S. Bray
Dean, Darden College of Education
