Biography
Dr. Anne Marie Perrotti is a certified speech-language pathologist with a PhD in Special Education who is passionate about transformative and equitable teaching and learning. As an Associate Professor at Old Dominion University, she dedicates her research to bridging perspectives using an interprofessional approach that combines entrepreneurship and design thinking for the design and development of innovative educational solutions for underserved populations and speech-language pathology students. She is the undergraduate program director for the speech-language pathology/audiology program at ODU, has won two teaching awards, and is grateful for the opportunity to discover new knowledge and possibilities by interacting with her students every day.

Research Interests
- Dr. Perrotti participates on two interprofessional research teams dedicated to the following aims: 1) understand the relationship between trauma, cognitive/communicative disorders, and justice outcomes for youth and young adults; 2) design and evaluate evidence-based programming to eliminate disparities in academic, social, justice, and health outcomes for trauma exposed youth and young adults through community partnerships; 3) understand and objectify working memory capacity (WMC) using eye tracking technology for neurotypical and atypical youth and young adults.
