Dr. Mallary received his bachelor's and master's degrees in Communication from Wake Forest University, and he earned his Ph.D. in Communication & Information from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Dr. Mallary's research agenda consists of (a) innovating the delivery of library and information services to disabled patrons via assistive technologies, (b) enhancing autistic students’ sensory and social well-being by designing user-centered library and information spaces, and (c) building accessibility-driven communities of library and information science professionals. His teaching interests include library and information services, user-centered design, and research methods. When he has spare time, Dr. Mallary enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, and going to the movies.
