ODU students, faculty and staff participated in a celebration and remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 16. The Office of Intercultural Relations and the Nu Theta chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity hosted a march around campus. Additionally, ODU’s Office of Leadership & Learning held its annual MLK Day of Service to support local community organizations. Students, faculty and staff volunteered at the Norfolk SPCA and the Salvation Army Emergency Men’s Shelter to organize donations, clean kennel spaces, build new shelving for storage and visit shelter animals.
