February 2, 2026
Post By Dominique Dempsey
The Graduate Society for International Studies (GSIS) at Old Dominion University is excited to invite you to participate in the GSIS Annual Graduate Research Conference 2026, an event designed for emerging scholars like you. This year’s theme, Digital Sovereignty and Global Governance in the AI Era, explores how technology and artificial intelligence are reshaping power, policy, and international relations. As artificial intelligence reshapes the foundations of international relations, states and non-state actors are grappling with fundamental questions about power, autonomy, and governance in an increasingly digitized world. This conference seeks to generate broad conversations about the past and future of international politics and societies, including, but not limited to, how emerging technologies are transforming traditional notions of sovereignty, challenging existing international institutions, and creating new fault lines in global politics. We welcome submissions across all International Relations topics!
