Encourage Student Innovation - Opportunity Discovery Competition - Deadline 2 Feb
The Strome College of Business, in partnership with the Strome Entrepreneurial Center, is now accepting submissions for the 2026 Opportunity Discovery Competition. This university-wide initiative rewards innovative thinking and problem-solving by ODU students, offering up to $2,000 to support selected product ideas, ventures, programs, or nonprofit concepts. Finalists will pitch to a panel of judges on Thursday, February 26th, for a chance to receive up to $2,000 in funding to advance a product, program, business, or nonprofit concept.
Students must submit a one-page opportunity description by noon on Feb. 2, 2026. Submissions must be emailed to StromeCEI@odu.edu and formatted as a PDF (10-point minimum font, 0.5-inch margins, one page max) labeled: YourTeamName_OpportunityDescription2025.pdf
