The ODU MFA in Creative Writing program would like to invite you to our National Poetry Month Celebration. This year's celebration will include a Poetry Fair and a Global Poetry Reading, featuring students and faculty from departments across the College of Arts & Letters.

Location: Education Building, Multipurpose Room (1106)
Event Details:
From 4:00–5:30 PM, the space will transform into a Poetry Fair, featuring:

"Poetry Prescriptions" for whatever ails you

A "Poetry-on-the-Spot" table for spontaneous verse

A performance Master Class led by Dr. Jane Alberdeston (Dr. Alberdeston will teach us how to effectively read/perform our poems in front of an audience!)
Then, at 5:30 PM, we’ll gather for the Global Poetry Reading—an hour of poetry spotlighting bilingual works and poems in translation. Readers will include Luisa A. Igloria, Peter Schulman, Paul Kim, Ash Thomas, Margaret Cenese, Annette Roberts, Chinecherem Arum, and others.
Hors d'oeuvres will be served! We look forward to seeing you there!
