Join us for Beyond Bars: Navigating Survivor Justice, Misogynoir, and Digital Resistance on Monday, April 14th from 5:30–7:30 PM in the Darden Multipurpose Room (1106), New Education Building. Facilitated by Dr. Kay Coghill (ODU '13) this powerful event will explore the intersections of survivor justice, the carceral system, and digital resistance—centering the lived experiences of Black women and femmes. Through thoughtful discussion and critical insight, Dr. Coghill will unpack how misogynoir and advocacy manifest both offline and online, inviting attendees to consider new paths toward justice and support for survivors of sexual violence.
Catering provided by Panda Express and Aramark.
This event is cosponsored by the Women's and Gender Equity Center, the Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology, and the ODU NAACP Chapter.
