Helping your students:  Are you looking for resources to help your students with stress and mental health.  Learn to Recognize, Respond and Refer.   Did you know more than 4 in 10 students feel persistently sad or hopeless, with more than 1 in 5 seriously considering suicide? The Office of Counseling Services has created the Red Folder Initiative, a campaign aimed at equipping faculty and staff with strategies to assist students in crisis.

We know you are often the ones that students turn to when they are struggling, Find the resources on the Counseling Services website at website.

Research shows that positive mental health literacy directly corresponds to positive mental well-being, so we must seek to foster a community of care around campus. Anyone can make a difference.

The Office of Counseling Services is launching the Red Folder Campaign which provides both a printed and a digital Red Folder with resources at your fingertips.  There is also an E-learning module which is a companion to the Red Folder providing interactive tips on how to create a safe health promoting classroom, examples of syllabus statements, and  guidelines for when to refer a student to campus/community resources. These modules provide helpful resources and guidance.
