Program Description

Butterfly Village is a community-centered organization focused on empowering individuals and

fostering sustainable change. We offer various programs, including She Can STEM Academy,

aimed at providing young women with the tools and confidence to excel in STEM fields. Our

marketing and communications team plays a vital role in amplifying our mission and expanding

our reach.

Butterfly Village Inc. Intern Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Assist in creating engaging and compelling content for social

media, newsletters, blogs, and other digital platforms.

• Social Media Management: Support the development and execution of social

media campaigns, including scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and

analyzing performance metrics.

• Graphic Design: Design marketing materials such as social media graphics,

brochures, and flyers using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

• Email Marketing: Assist in drafting and scheduling email campaigns, newsletters,

and program announcements using platforms like Mailchimp.

• Media Relations: Help draft press releases, media pitches, and coordinate

outreach efforts to local media outlets.

• Website Management: Update and maintain website content using Wix.

• Event Support: Assist in promoting and providing marketing support for events, both

virtual and in-person.

• Analytics and Reporting: Track and report on the performance of marketing

campaigns, using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, social media insights,

and email campaign reports.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, development, and program teams

to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all platforms.

Internship opportunities are available year-round, with applications open for the Fall,

Spring, and Summer semesters. Compensation is $15 per hour. Seeking students who are

in the following majors:

• Visual studies
