ODU Welcomes Bright Horizons

We are excited to announce the selection of Bright Horizons® to provide operational management of the Old Dominion University Children’s Learning and Research Center. Our partnership with Bright Horizons will become effective August 1, 2025.
Old Dominion University will benefit from partnering with an organization with proven expertise in the field of employer-sponsored childcare and specifically centers that support universities and higher education. Bright Horizons has an excellent reputation for managing centers in partnership with more than 100 across the U.S.
Bright Horizons is trusted by parents across the country for their children’s care, known for their safe, warm environments; exceptional teachers and staff; and educator-created curriculum designed to help make sure children are ready for school. We are confident that the Old Dominion University’s Children’s Learning and Research Center will thrive under Bright Horizons management.
As part of this transition, oversight of the CLRC will move from the Darden College of Education and Professional Studies (DCEPS) to Campus Life Services within the Division of Student Enrollment, Engagement, and Services. DCEPS will maintain an advisory role, supporting research collaborations, curricular guidance, and field experiences.
