At Old Dominion University, we understand that your living environment plays an important role in your success as a student. Off-Campus Student Life (OCSL) was created to provide a centralized location for off-campus students to receive guidance, support, and resources for their off-campus experience. OCSL creates programs and initiatives throughout the year to help you get engaged and connect with the off-campus student community!
To support the off-campus student experience, our Off-Campus Student Advisory Board consists of current off-campus students. The board holds regular meetings to plan events and represent the interests of off-campus students. Interested in learning more or joining this board? Contact us at offcampuslife@odu.edu!
In addition to providing resources and events, OCSL also collaborates with the neighborhoods surrounding ODU and the City of Norfolk regarding livability issues affecting students.
Looking for a space to unwind between classes? Check out the Off-Campus Student Lounge in the Webb Center! We’re in Room 2200 (on the second floor, above the Starbucks). Our Lounge provides computers, a microwave, printer, fridge, board games to check out, & a space to just relax!
News & Announcements
Off-Campus Housing
New to the Norfolk area? Moving from on-campus to off-campus?
ODU provides assistance to students seeking off-campus housing through an off-campus property listing page, where local landlords and property managers will post available housing. If you are a current student, we suggest using your ODU MIDAS to create an account, and your roommate profile! We also provide an annual Off-Campus Housing Fair, usually scheduled in the Spring semester.
Please note that the listing of off-campus residential properties is provided for informational purposes only and does not imply endorsement or recommendation of any off-campus residential property for security, safety, or suitability by the University. It is the responsibility of the prospective tenant to investigate security, safety and suitability of any off-campus residential property. ODU is not affiliated with any landlord that lists available property including ODUrent.
Off-Campus Support

- Commuter meal plans
