How to Apply
All applications to our fellowship program must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service. Our Fellowship participates in the National Residency Matching Program.
We will not accept applications via email.
Visa Policies
The Rheumatology Fellowship Program welcomes applications from U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and international medical graduates.
Graduates from medical schools outside the U.S. and Canada must be certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
The program sponsors J-1 visas for qualified applicants. We do not sponsor initial H-1B visas; however, H-1B transfers from other institutions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Prior to appointment, all fellows must successfully complete Graduate Medical Education (GME) onboarding requirements, including a criminal background check and pre-employment health screening.
All fellows must meet applicable licensure eligibility requirements before the start of training.
Interview Process
Interviews are conducted virtually and are held annually during September and October.
Interview invitations are sent via email. Applicants with complete applications will receive priority consideration during the review process.
The selection process is holistic and considers academic achievements, clinical performance, scholarly activities, communication skills, professionalism, and personal attributes.
