Become a Facilitator or Mentor for the ODU Global Leadership Exchange Fellowship

The Office of International Collaborations (OIC) is seeking faculty, staff, professionals, educators, and community leaders to support the 2026 ODU Global Leadership Exchange Fellowship cohort of emerging changemakers from Ghana and Nigeria.

The ODU Global Leadership Exchange Fellowship is a free, four-week virtual training program running from mid-June to mid-July for emerging leaders and social entrepreneurs in Ghana and Nigeria. The program is organized by OIC in collaboration with a group of students from ODU’s Graduate Program in International Studies (GPIS).

We are currently looking for:

  • Facilitators to lead a 2-hour virtual session on topics such as leadership, civic engagement, social innovation, digital advocacy, community development, entrepreneurship, or related areas.
  • Mentors to provide virtual guidance and feedback to Fellows as they develop practical community impact projects they plan to implement in their home communities in Ghana and Nigeria.

Facilitators and mentors will receive a small stipend of $200 in appreciation of their time and contributions.

This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to global leadership development and support young leaders working to create positive social and economic change in their communities.

Interested individuals should email Dr. Patricia Schiaffini-Vedani (pschiaff@odu.edu) and Jonas Bensah (jbens006@odu.edu) by May 30, 2026.
