The Office of International Collaborations Announces the seminar Global Hidden Gems of the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Competition for 2027-28!
The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program 2027-28 competition is now open. Fulbright U.S. Scholar Awards give opportunities to U.S. citizens to teach, research and carry out professional projects around the world. Register for a seminar on Thursday, May 7, 2:00-3:00 PM ET to explore less commonly known Fulbright international destinations: https://apply.iie.org/portal/scholar_webinars?id=a0958a06-a6c9-45b9-a28f-f2a4b662c163
The Fulbright U.S. Scholar competition offers over 380 individual awards in more than 130 countries. While some of them are widely known, others simply do not garner as much attention. Join this presentation to hear more about awards considered by program staff to be Fulbright's "hidden gems" of the competition. The speakers will demystify award requirements, share tips for applying, and answer applicant questions live. If you're interested in Fulbright but flexible on which award you might pursue, this webinar is for you!
Can't make it? No problem! This webinar will be recorded and we encourage you to still register, so you can have access to the recording.
As a reminder, U.S. Fulbright Scholar applications are due on September 15, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET.
To learn more or to receive help with your application, contact Dr. Patricia Schiaffini-Vedani, Director of International Collaborations (pschiaff@odu.edu).
