Artist Bios:
Amber Pierce (b. 1996) is a multi-media American artist based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Pierce received her BFA and BA in 3-D Material Studies and Art Education from Old Dominion University in 2023. Her work explores the relationship between tactile material and narratives of resilience, intimacy, and the quiet strength in story-sharing. Pierce received a 2022 VMFA Undergraduate Fellowship Award and was named an NCECA and NAEA Multicultural Fellow. Her experience encompasses participation in various national workshops and collectives, along with extensive work as an invited artist and instructor at museums, galleries, and educational spaces throughout the Hampton Roads area.
