Please join us on Thursday, March 12, 2026, for the WiMS Annual Event featuring a keynote panel of our female Deans from the College of Nursing, College of Health Sciences, and Eastern Virginia Medical School.
This engaging panel discussion, The Road to Success: Leadership Pathways in Medicine and Science, will explore the Deans’ personal leadership journeys, including pivotal moments, lessons learned, challenges overcome, the role of mentorship, and strategies for sustaining success and balance over time. Attendees will gain insight into diverse leadership paths and hear candid reflections from women leading at the highest levels of academic medicine and health sciences.
The event will also include an interactive pre-workshop designed to encourage reflection, connection, and professional growth. This session will provide participants with an opportunity to engage more deeply with themes of leadership, resilience, and career development before the keynote conversation.
The afternoon will conclude with a WiMS-only networking session, offering space to connect with colleagues, share experiences, and continue the conversation in a supportive community.
