Microsoft Teams is replacing Skype for Business
Microsoft is retiring Skype for Business, ODU's instant messaging and presence application. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be phasing out Skype for Business and transitioning to Microsoft Teams, which can do everything Skype does and more.
You can start using Teams now (if you're not already), but after June 28, you will no longer be able to use Skype for Business.
Get the Teams App
All ODU-managed computers have Microsoft Teams already installed and ready to use. Just open the app and log in.
On a personal Mac or PC, go to https://teams.microsoft.com. Log in with your ODU email address and MIDAS password, and click the download button in the bottom left corner of the page.
On a mobile device, go to your app store and search for Microsoft Teams.
Teams Features
Chat with an individual or group using text, voice or video.
Schedule and hold online meetings.
