The Gornto Hall Production Suite is available by reservation for ODU faculty and staff. All reservation requests are subject to review and approval by the Media & Digital Operations team, who may contact you to discuss your project, answer questions, or schedule a consultation prior to confirming your reservation. Main Studio
Our Main Studio, located in Gornto Hall, is a state-of-the-art production facility designed to help faculty create engaging, professional-quality instructional and promotional content. The 2,500-square-foot studio features industry-leading video and audio production equipment, a full-size green screen, LED wall, reversable clearboard, customizable set designs, and a variety of other production resources to bring your vision to life. Whether you're recording lectures, demonstrations, interviews, or promotional videos, our experienced team is available to support your production needs.
Mini Studio
Our Mini Studio offers a streamlined, comfortable production space for faculty seeking a convenient solution for creating high-quality instructional content. Designed as a more intimate version of our Main Studio, it features the same industry-leading video and audio production equipment in a setting ideal for shorter recordings, course content, and Synthesia video production. Whether you're recording a brief lecture, course update, or AI-enhanced presentation, the Mini Studio provides an efficient, professional environment to produce polished content with ease.
Podcast Studio
Our Podcast Studio is the newest addition to the Gornto Hall Production Suite, offering a modern, fully equipped space for creating professional-quality audio content. Designed with flexibility and comfort in mind, the studio features a four-person conversation setup, multiple recording configurations, and professional-grade audio equipment to accommodate a variety of podcast formats. Our experienced audio production staff provides technical support throughout your recording session, ensuring a polished, high-quality final product. Podcasting has become an engaging and effective way to connect with today's learners, making it an excellent medium for delivering course content, sharing research, highlighting campus initiatives, or communicating important university information. Audio Booth
Our Audio Booth, also known as the Whisper Booth, provides a quiet, fully sound-isolated environment designed for professional-quality audio recording. This dedicated space is ideal for creating course content, voiceovers, narrated presentations, and other audio-based projects that require exceptional clarity and focus. Equipped to support a seamless recording experience, the Audio Booth is supported by an experienced audio technician who can guide you through the process, provide technical assistance, and help ensure your final content meets the highest standards of quality.
