Crisis Support

  • Call the Office of Counseling Services: 757-683-4401
    • Press 2 to speak with an ODU counselor 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Drop-in mental health support at the Office of Counseling Services (2403 Student Recreation & Well-Being Center)
    • Monday, March 30 through Thursday, April 2 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, April 3, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Drop-in Support Groups at the Office of Counseling Services (2403 Student Recreation & Well-Being Center)
    • Mondays, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Open Studio- Art Therapy: This drop in group will give students the space to connect with others through creative expression
    • Mondays, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Haven- LGBTQ+; Student group to provide a safe and supportive space focused on the mental health needs of students.  All are welcome to attend.
    • Tuesdays, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Refuge- Men's Support Group:  A safe space for men to process life challenges, develop emotional awareness, and grow in a community with other men navigating college life.
    • Wednesdays, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.-  Let's Talk- Stress Relief: A supportive place where you can discuss the stress in your life and identify helpful coping strategies.

    • Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., as available
