Get paid, professional experience with the Virginia Micro-Internship Experience

Ready to enhance your professional brand and gain real-world experience? The Virginia Micro-Internship Experience is your chance to take on short-term, paid, fully remote professional projects designed to help you build skills, explore career paths, and expand your network—all while getting hands-on experience.

Open to current Virginia undergraduate students from all academic programs, these opportunities allow you to connect with Virginia employers of all types across the state. Micro-Internships are facilitated via the Parker Dewey platform. Create a Parker Dewey account to get started.

Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible for this program you must be a current undergraduate student enrolled at a 2-year or 4-year Virginia higher education institution. You can only complete one Micro-Internship project that’s funded by this program.

Terms Summer (May 13–July 31) | Fall (Sept 13–Nov 30)

Capacity Up to 110 funded placements statewide (summer slots roll to fall). If all slots are taken in Summer, there will be no Fall program. 

1 funded micro-internship per ODU student

Format 15-hour project (~1–3 weeks), typically remote, $315 pay for the project
