The CIVIC Scholars Program is a full academic-year extracurricular initiative hosted by the CIVIC Leadership Institute in collaboration with ODU, designed to cultivate leadership, civic engagement, regional exploration, and professionalism. Through workshops, retreats, service, and executive mentorship opportunities, students are equipped with valuable skills to help them thrive both personally and professionally.

We rely on faculty and staff to help nominate exceptional students who would excel in the program. If you know students who meet the eligibility criteria below and demonstrate a passion for personal and professional development, please consider nominating them for the CIVIC Scholars Class of 2027.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to rising undergraduate sophomores, juniors, and seniors in good standing at Old Dominion University and Tidewater Community College
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
