The 49th Street Stadium Garage, located at the intersection of 49th Street and Bluestone Avenue, was partially reopened on Thursday, March 6, 2025, after closing on Sunday, January 26, 2025, for necessary repairs.

Transportation & Parking Services appreciates your cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience during this closure. Repairs are ongoing, and the garage is reopening in phases as work progresses. The first phase of repairs has been completed, and a significant portion of the garage is now available for use.

Currently, access to the garage is only available via Bluestone Avenue, as the 49th Street entrance remains closed for continued work. The first and second levels remain closed for parking, but all ramps, as well as levels three, four, and five, are open for normal use.

Please drive with caution, as there is still active work taking place inside the garage. Additional parking will become available as repairs progress.

With the opening of the upper levels of the 49th Street Stadium Garage, student permit holders are advised as of March 6, 2025, to park in their regular parking locations listed below and on Transportation & Parking Services webpage.

Resident permit parking locations:

·       Lots: 1, 11, 16, 28, 32, 33, 37, 42, 43 (except City of Norfolk spaces), 56, Village Lot 1, Village Lot 2, & Village Lot 3

·       49th Street Stadium Garage (Levels 4, & 5)

Commuter permit parking locations:

·       Lots: 1, 11, 16, 42, 43 (except City of Norfolk spaces), 47, 58

·       43rd Street Constant Center Garage (Levels 1, 2, 3, & 5)

·       45th Street Constant Center Garage (Levels 2, 3, & 5)

·       43rd Street & Elkhorn Avenue Garage (Levels 1, 2, 3, & 4)

Perimeter permit parking locations:

·       Lot 42 (behind Whitehurst Hall)

·       Lot 43 (near Powhatan Field) – except City of Norfolk spaces
