Tidewater Center for Life Support (TCLS) is an authorized American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center managed by the Sentara Center for Healthcare Simulation and Immersive Learning (SCHSIL) under the Eastern Virginia Medical School of Health Professions - Mason & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University. We are located in Lester Hall on the Eastern Virginia Medical School campus. TCLS offers blended-learning AHA courses combining online modules with in-person skills practice and testing for healthcare providers working in clinical and hospital settings. Courses offered include:
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- AHA Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS)
- AHA HeartSaver® First Aid CPR AED
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) by the American College of Surgeons
