The Center for Secure & Intelligent Critical Systems at Old Dominion University is seeking a highly motivated Graduate Research Assistant to join our team for a research project focusing on innovative AI/ML techniques for analyzing transcriptomic data to discover novel biomarkers in prostate cancer.
 

Project Objectives: 
 Develop AI/ML-based techniques to analyze transcriptomic data and identify potential therapeutic biomarkers.
 Utilize cutting-edge deep learning models (e.g., CNN, RNN, Transformers) to improve cancer treatment outcomes.
 Apply hybrid machine learning methods to predict prostate cancer prognosis and patient responses to treatment.
 Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to validate models and biomarkers in a biological research setting.
 

Who We Are Looking For:
 Strong background in machine learning and data analysis.
 Proficiency in Python.
 Experience with deep learning frameworks like Pytorch.
 Strong interest in applying AI to biomedical data.
 Background in biological data analysis, high-dimensional data handling, or genomics is a plus.
