The MS in Accounting program at ODU prepares students for professional careers in accounting, including eligibility for CPA Licensure. The 30-credit program allows for concentration in either Taxation or Financial Management and is accredited by AACSB.
Academics
The MS Accounting program aims to prepare students for professional careers in accounting. Students can learn financial and management accounting, tax, information systems, decision-making methodologies, and global accounting issues with the ability concentrate in Financial Management or Taxation, if they choose. They will also have opportunities to develop professional skills to excel in the workplace.
Additional Program Requirements
In addition to the 30 academic credits necessary for this program, graduates are required to complete the following requirements:
- The RCR modules must be completed prior to completion of 12 semester hour
- M.S. Accounting Students should complete the Social Sciences RCR Course
All M.S. Accounting Students must complete a professional licensing exam to be eligible for graduation e.g. CPA, CMA, CIA, CFE, CISA, CGF
