Prospectus

The President and Provost of Old Dominion University, in conjunction with the faculty of the Batten College of Engineering and Technology, announce the search for the Dean of the Batten College of Engineering and Technology. The new Dean will provide leadership for all aspects of the College's academic and scholarly programs, establishing and implementing a realistic strategic vision for the College that will enhance undergraduate and graduate education, strengthen the College's research portfolio, and grow community partnerships.

The Batten College of Engineering and Technology (BCET) was founded more than 50 years ago (Built From The Ground Up, 50 Years of Engineering at ODU) and promotes the advancement of engineering knowledge, both in creation and dissemination, by providing successful graduates and a continuously improving learning environment to its constituents, while maintaining high ethical, multicultural and global standards. The College is one of six academic colleges at the University, and includes 111 faculty (92 tenured/tenure-track) faculty, 2400+ full-time undergraduates, and 772 graduate students in six departments and Naval ROTC.

Process for Consideration
