The IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society awards the Particle Accelerator Science and Technology Award to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of particle accelerator science and technology.

The PAST Award is sponsored by the Particle Accelerator Science and Technology Technical Committee (PAST) of the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society, and constitutes of $2000 and a Plaque.

The award was established to recognize significant and innovative technical contributions to the field of particle accelerator science and technology as demonstrated in a student's doctoral thesis.

The citation for the award reads: "For contributions to the development of a new class of superconducting structures for the deflection and crabbing of particle beams with a wide range of applications".

The 2015 PAST Awards will be presented at the 2015 International Particle Accelerator Conference, which will be held in Richmond Virginia, May 3-8, 2015.
