Annette Guzman-Smith, an administrative assistant in the Department of Physics, is Old Dominion University's December Employee of the Month.

Guzman-Smith was recognized for her extraordinary support to the operations and welfare of the Physics Department. Since joining the University, Guzman-Smith has worked diligently to complete her tasks with the upmost professionalism. In doing so, she also remains actively involved in student recruitment efforts and community outreach events, including the Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics.

According to Guzman-Smith's supervisor, Lisa Okun, "She is a true professional and team player who is extremely dedicated to providing unmatched customer service to all. She prides herself on always getting the job done right, while upholding the highest ethical, moral and professional standards. Annette's exceptional work ethic, trustworthiness, integrity, performance and significant accomplishments make her most deserving of this recognition."
